    (KTVI) – A body was found overnight in East St. Louis.  Officers discovered the body on the patio of an apartment on McCasland around 3:30 am Wednesday morning. The cause of death has not been released. The victim has not been identified.

    VENICE, IL (KPLR) –  A police chase ended after a man crashed into a tree Tuesday morning.  Authorities say the driver of a red pick-up truck sped away during a routine traffic stop, causing officers to pursue him.   • Monday Mascot: Deuce

    (KPLR) – The Monday Mascot for July 21, 2014 is a dog named Deuce.  Deuce is a three-year-old Plott Hound, Boxer mix.  He has plenty of energy, basic obedience skills and is house trained.  He’s available for adoption.   • Facebook testing new “Buy” button

    (KPLR) –  Facebook is letting you to do more than post your status.  The social networking giant is testing their new “buy” button.  The button will allow you to buy products directly from businesses without leaving their site. It will appear in sponsored ads and is being tested by several small and medium-sized businesses.

  • New MH17 crash satellite images

    (KPLR) – New satellite images have been released from the deadly Malaysia Airlines crash in eastern Ukraine.  The images were collected by Airbus Defense and Space and cover a 1,300 acre area. All 298 people on board flight MH17 were killed.

  • 250 bodies recovered from MH17 crash; U.S. pinning blame on Ukrainian separatists

    (KPLR) – More than 250 bodies have been recovered from the Malaysia Airlines crash as tension continues to escalates over access to the crash site.  The U.S. is pinning  blame on Ukrainian separatists who had Russian military help.   • TSA to increase security fees

    (KPLR) – Airline security fees are ready for take off!  Starting Monday, the Transportation Security Administration will increase $5.60 per flight. All connections that last longer than four hours will count as a separate flight.  The fee was previously $2.50 for non-stop flights and $5 for connecting flights. The TSA estimates the hike will generate an additional $23.8 billion dollars over the next 10 years.

  • Two Xbox’s stolen during smash and grab, Cahokia

    CAHOKIA, IL (KPLR) –  Police responded to a smash and grab at a Cahokia pawn shop Monday morning.  The owner of Pawn King told our very own Mazda Road Runner Bobby Hughes that a concrete brick was used to break the glass of his store. The suspects broke into a case and stole two Xbox’s. According to the owner, the suspects were in and out in under one minute. We will keep you posted as more details become available.

  • Two hospitalized after car hits back of cargo van

    (KTVI) – Two people have been transported to the hospital after a car hit the back of a cargo van.  The accident happened at North Market Street at Broadway Friday morning. Our very own Mazda Road Runner Bobby Hughes was on the scene. Authorities are still investigating. It is unclear is someone from one of those vehicles ran from police.

  • Pickup truck under tractor trailer; I-270 and Dorsett

    (KTVI) – All northbound lanes of I-270 have reopened following an accident where a pickup truck was smashed underneath a tractor trailer. Both vehicles have been removed safely. No injuries have been reported.

  • Water main break near Hampton and Sunshine

    ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – A water main break has been reported on Hampton Avenue at Sunshine in south city.  All lanes have been shutdown as crews work to repair the problem. This area is south of Jamieson and north of Loughborough Avenue. We will keep you updated as details become available.

  • USPS now hiring in St. Louis Metropolitan Area
