    SOUTH ST. LOUIS – An investigation is underway after a smash-and-grab was reported at Jewels early Monday morning. Officials say they responded to the business, located at 4500 Hampton Ave. Authorities determined the front door was smashed in and the suspects smashed showcases. No other details, including potential suspect descriptions, were not immediately released.

  • Man shot in head, killed in north St. Louis

    ST. LOUIS – A man was shot and killed late Wednesday night in north St. Louis. According to police, the shooting took place around 10:00 p.m. along I-70 at Carrie Avenue, just north of O’ Fallon Park. Police found the victim, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.

  • Man shot in arm, walks into restaurant for help

    SOUTH ST. LOUIS –  A man in his mid 30’s was shot early Thursday morning in south St. Louis. According to police, the man was shot in the arm and went for help at a nearby fast food restaurant. No word on suspects or a motive.

  • Firefighter injured when floor collapses in burning vacant house

    ST. LOUIS –  A firefighter was injured while responding to a vacant house fire in the Ferguson neighborhood early Wednesday morning. According to authorities, the firefighter fell through the floor into the basement. She suffered a wrist and leg injury, along with some burns and was taken to the hospital.   • Man found shot, dead in Baden alley

    ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating a homicide in north St. Louis late Monday night. The victim was found in an alley behind a building on North Broadway at Baden Avenue just after 10:00 p.m. According to responding officers, the victim died at the scene. No word yet on suspects or a motive.

  • Man stabbed overnight, walks to Budget Inn for help

    ST. LOUIS – A man is now hospitalized after being stabbed in the chest Monday night. St Louis County Police tell FOX 2 a man was stabbed in the chest between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and went to the Budget Inn on Dunn Road just north of 270.   • Metro bus strikes pedestrian on St. Clair Avenue

    ST. LOUIS – A man was struck by a Metro bus early Friday near East St. Louis. He was hit on St. Clair Avenue at Curtis Lane, near I-255, just after 1:30 a.m. No word on his condition. The wreck is still under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact police.   • Driver loses control, crashes into house in East St. Louis

    EAST  ST. LOUIS –  A driver lost control of their car early Friday morning crashing into a house. The accident happened around 2:15 a.m on North 32nd Street in East St. Louis. The car also hit the natural gas line causing residents to evacuate. Spire Gas Company was called to shut off the leaking gas.

  • 3 people injured after shooting outside of Bottoms Up Gentleman’s Club

    BROOKLYN, Ill. –  Police are searching for the gunman who shot three people early Thursday morning in Brooklyn, Illinois. The shooting happened around 4:20 a.m. outside the Bottoms Up nightclub on Jefferson Street. Police tell FOX 2  a man was struck in the leg, a woman was hit in the calf and a second woman was hit in the shoulder. Investigators have no suspects or motive.

  • Two arrested in Alton CVS robbery

    ALTON, Ill. – Two men robbed a CVS drug store in Alton overnight. The robbers held up the CVS Pharmacy in the 2000 block of College Avenue near Washington, around 2:00 a.m. Monday morning. According to police, they were quickly able to locate the robbers about two miles from the store and make an arrest

  • Man fatally stabbed during domestic dispute in St. Charles

    ST. CHARLES – A domestic disturbance led to the fatal stabbing of a man Wednesday in St. Charles. At about 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the disturbance in the1700 block of Lynbrook Drive. When officers arrived, they found the 40-year-old father of five stabbed in the chest inside the home, according to St. Charles police.   • Semi driver swerved to avoid deer, hit curb instead

    ST. LOUIS – A semi-truck crashed in Hazelwood Wedsnday morning when trying to dodge a deer in the road. The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. on McDonnell Boulevard. The truck ended up on a curb damaging the fuel tank and leaking fuel into a nearby ditch. Crews responded to inspect for damage and cleanup.
