  • Man flees hit-and-run, arrested after fighting with police

    ST. LOUIS – A driver accused of a hit and run accident is later arrested for fighting with police Monday morning. The man rear-ended a car on Hall Street at Adelaide in north St. Louis then fled the scene, police say. Officers then followed the suspect for about three miles, where his pick-up truck became disabled on Broadway. Police say he began fighting with the officers before he was taken into custody. No injuries have been reported.

    SOUTH ST. LOUIS – Police are looking for suspects after a historic spot in south St. Louis was robbed Wednesday night. The thieves stole computers and other equipment from the office at the Chatillon De-Me-Nil Mansion around 10:30 p.m. According to authorities, nothing in the museum was disturbed.   • Police search for driver who fled crash on Kingshighway

    ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Police are searching for a driver of a stolen car who ran from the scene of an early morning wreck. According to authorites, the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. at Kingshighway and Shaw in south St. Louis Wednesday. The stolen vehicle hit a pick-up truck, then fled the scene.   • Two men found shot inside car in middle of North St. Louis intersection

    ST. LOUIS – Two men were shot Tuesday morning in north St. Louis. A car was found around 12:45a.m. with several bullet holes on CD Banks Avenue at North Sarah Street. One of the victims was unconscious but was breathing when he was taken to the hospital. No word yet on the condition of the other victim. Investigators have no suspects or motive.

  • Woman carjacked at gunpoint in East St. Louis

    EAST ST. LOUIS – A woman was carjacked at gunpoint overnight Thursday in East St. Louis. Two men stopped her on South 15th Street around midnight.  According to police, one man pulled out a gun and ordered her out of the car. The suspects hopped in the car and drove off. The woman was uninjured and went for help at a convenience store two blocks away. The investigation is ongoing.

  • St. Charles police pursuit ends in north St. Louis when suspect’s car breaks down

    ST. LOUIS- One man is in custody after a police chase Thursday morning from St. Charles Missouri into North St. Louis. According to police, the pursuit ended around 2:15 a.m. on the ramp from Interstate 70 eastbound to Lucas and Hunt Road when the suspect’s car broke down. The St. Charles police have not released what led to the chase.

  • Distracted driver slams into Florissant home

    FLORISSANT, Mo. – A car hit a house around 12:15a.m. on North New Florissant Road near the Florissant Police Department. The driver told police he was distracted coming around a curb. That’s when the car hit a light pole, knocked a traffic light onto a parked car and came crashing into the house. The driver was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition at this time.   • Crews return to St. Louis home after fire re-kindles

    ST. LOUIS – A house fire put out by firefighters late Tuesday night in north St. Louis rekindled early Wednesday morning. The initial fire broke out around 11:20 p.m. on Switzer Avenue just east of Goodfellow Boulevard. Then around 4:35 a.m. firefighters had to return to the scene to extinguish some hot spots that flared back up. Everyone who lived there got out safely.

  • Vacant home heavily damaged in overnight fire

    ST. LOUIS –  A  vacant home in north St. Louis sustained heavy damage in a fire early Tuesday morning. The fire broke out on the first and second floor of the home around 1:00 a.m. on Wells Avenue at North Kingshighway. Extra fire crews were brought in to fight the fast-moving flames. No word on the cause of the fire.

    ST. LOUIS – An investigation is underway after a woman was shot and killed overnight in north St. Louis. According to Officer Michelle Woodling, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, an officer was flagged down around 12:40 a.m. Monday in the 8300 block of North Broadway.
