    ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has identified a 21-year-old man found shot to death in Dellwood Tuesday night.     ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating a shooting in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood Friday morning. Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of 14th street around 7:30 a.m. When deputies arrived on the scene, they said they found the female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.   • Man shot, killed while riding bicycle in East St. Louis

    EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill – A man was shot and killed overnight while riding his bike in East St. Louis. Neighbors say they heard two shots around 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning. They saw the victim continue riding his bike a short way, before collapsing outside a home on North 69th Street near Mary Avenue. Investigators are searching for a suspect.

  • Neighbors hear ammo exploding during Alorton house fire

    ALORTON, Ill. – Blazing fire destroyed a vacant house overnight Wednesday in Alorton, Illinois. An Alorton police officer owns the property on South 40th Street where the fire broke out.  He had been rehabbing the building. According to neighbors when the fire started they could hear the popping sounds of the bullets. The previous tenant had stored some bullets in the house No one was injured.

  • Small Washington University campus fire quickly extinguished

    ST. LOUIS, MO — Firefighters arrived at Givens Hall on the Washington University campus at around 6:00am Monday.  There was a small fire in the at the architecture center in the laser lab.  They were able to quickly put the fire out.  There were about 20 students inside the building studying for midterm exams.   • One person shot outside East St. Louis business

    EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – One man was shot overnight Tuesday in East St. Louis. The victim was found around 1 a.m. outside a business on North 16th Street at State Street. Police did make one arrest and recovered two weapons. There is no word on the victims’ condition at this time.   • Car crashes into Ferguson restaurant

    FERGUSON,  Mo. – A driver lost control of his car and crashed into a Ferguson restaurant Friday morning. The accident happened just after 1 a.m. at the Northland Chop Suey Restaurant on West Florissant Avenue near Canfield Drive. The driver told police the car had a mechanical failure, causing him to lose control. The crash caused damage to the front of the restaurant. No one was injured.

    FESTUS, Mo. – Authorities say an elderly woman has died in a mobile home fire Thursday morning. Assistant Fire Chief Chuck Boyer says they received a call around 3:30 a.m. of smoke coming from the mobile home in Festus.   • One person critically injured in Midtown fire

    ST. LOUIS – One person is in critical condition Monday after an early morning fire. The St. Louis Fire Department responded to heavy smoke around 1:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of Samuel Sheperad in Midtown St. Louis. Fire crews rescued a person from the second floor of the Catholic-based transitional living facility. He was later taken to the area hospital.

  • Homeowner lose pets in early morning house fire

    PRAIRIE TOWN, Ill. – A homeowner in Prairie Town lost two pets in a house fire that started Wednesday morning. Fire and other emergency vehicles responded to the fire in the 6000 block of Gates Lane near Twin Lakes Drive. Dispatchers received a phone just after 5 a.m. on Wednesday.  After arriving on the scene fire crews found the home engulfed in flames. Luckily no one was injured and was able to get out safely.
