Early morning fire destroys vacant house in East St. Louis

EAST ST. LOUIS –  Firefighters in the metro-east were busy Friday morning battling a vacant house fire.

The fire started just after midnight on North 40th Street in east st. Louis.

Witness tell News 11 neighbors saw the flames and called the fire department.

No injuries have been reported in this incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
