ST. LOUIS – More than 4,000 Missouri residents remained without power Monday morning after a strong storm swept through the area overnight and damaged the historic Old Cathedral.

The damage was caused by wind gusts up to 60 mph early Sunday morning.

The wind blew off part of the roof of the Old Cathedral in Downtown St. Louis.  Archbishop Robert Carlson said the church will be repaired.

The church building dates back to 1831.
