Couple in their 60s carjacked while loading groceries in Schnucks parking lot

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department are investigating a carjacking that took place at a south county Schnucks store.

According to Sgt. Shawn McGuire, a county police spokesman, the incident occurred around 10:55 a.m. in the parking lot at Schnucks located at 4333 Butler Hill Road.

The victims, a man and woman in their 60s, were getting ready to leave the store when the suspect approached their car with a gun and demanded the vehicle. The woman was in the driver’s seat and the man was loading groceries in the trunk at the time.
