Police respond to bomb threat at McKinley Academy

ST. LOUIS – Students at a south city high school were evacuated Monday morning following a reported bomb threat.

According to Office Michelle Woodling, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, police were notified around 10 a.m. of a bomb threat at McKinley Classical Leadership Academy High School.

Police and K9 units responded to the school, located at 2156 Russell Avenue in the McKinley Heights neighborhood.

The area was given the all-clear and students and staff were allowed back inside the building before noon.
