New Recorder of Deeds takes oath of office in St. Louis City

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis City gets a new Recorder of Deeds Wednesday, January 2.

Former state representative Michael Butler will take the oath at noon in the City Hall Rotunda.

He's the city's first African- American recorder of deeds.

Butler defeated 38-year incumbent Sharon Carpenter in last year's 2018 election.
