‘Gateway Sound’ director talks about St. Louis’ role in the shifting music industry

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Gateway to the West is known for its rich musical history. The recording industry has changed drastically and competition is more fierce than ever before.

The documentary Gateway Sound explores how are studios surviving in the face of streaming music.  Gateway Sound is one of the hundreds of films being shown in this year's St Louis International Film Festival. Joining us is Gateway Sound documentary filmmaker Justin L. Fisher.
