Child injured in North City fire

NORTH ST. LOUIS – Fire broke out in an apartment around 12:40 pm in the 1500 block of Cochran Place in north St. Louis.  A St. Louis Fire Department spokesperson told Fox 2 a child was playing with matches.  The child’s mother was able to rescue the boy from a bathroom.

The child was transported to the hospital for treatment of burns.
