Help the hungry by attending ‘Empty Bowls’ at Plaza Frontenac

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – It is an event to help those in need of food and it involves some bowls of art.  Sunny Schaefer from Operation Food Search shows how you can do your part.

Operation Food Search is recognizing National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week with the 18th annual “Empty Bowls” event on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19 at Plaza Frontenac. The ceramic bowls are handcrafted by artists, students and friends of Operation Food Search.

When this artwork is sold and used at home, the messaging behind the bowl reminds them that someone`s bowl is empty and their efforts helped fill it. or every dollar donated, OFS provides $21 worth of food and nutrition services to support the area`s hungry.
