Elderly woman rescued from apartment fire

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- One woman was rescued from an apartment fire overnight in north St. Louis. The fire began around 2 a.m. on Roaslie Street near Kingshighway. Officials say started in an empty apartment on the first floor.

An elderly woman living across the hallway was rescued by firefighters. She's the only one living in the four-unit building.

She refused medical attention.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
