(KPLR) – The Boy Scouts delivered 1 million scouting-for-food bags Saturday.

Thousands of Boy Scouts in the Greater St. Louis Area Council canvassed neighborhoods today to deliver scouting-for-food bags.

Residents are asked to fill the bags with canned and non-perishable food items and set them on their doorsteps by 9 am next Saturday the 19th.

That’s when scouts will return to collect the donations.

Proceeds will go to stock local food banks and pantries before the holidays.
