ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Mayor Francis Slay is asking St. Louis school kids to help make his holiday cards special. They are invited to submit designs to the 2016 Mayor’s Holiday Card Contest.

The winning entry will be used as the cover art of the Mayor and Mrs. Slay’s 2016 holiday e-cards. The top 10 finalists, their families, and teachers will be invited to attend a special ceremony in the Mayor’s Office. Top entries will be on display in City Hall during the holiday season.

Submissions should be appropriate for all religions. Parents, teachers and caretakers should help kids capture the feeling of the holiday spirit in the City of St. Louis. Designs should be original, no larger than 8.5” x 11” and created with crayon, water colors, paints, pencil, ink, markers, or colored pencil, so that the winning art can be easily reproduced. Three-dimensional cards are cool but difficult to reproduce.

Artwork must be received in the Mayor’s Office no later than Friday, December 2, 2016, for consideration in the contest. Entrants should include their name, address, phone number, school, grade, and age.
