FENTON, MO (KPLR) – Hundreds gathered Sunday night in Fenton for a candlelight vigil to remember the lives of 5-year-old Ethan and 4-year-old Owen Cadenbach.

The Cadenbach's were killed Saturday night by their father, Christopher, shortly after an AMBER alert was issued for them.

"I don’t know the family but I heard the story and it just breaks my heart" said community member Lauren Robinson.

The vigil was held at St. Paul Catholic School in Fenton, where the boy's aunt was a member of the school community.  Some of those who attended the vigil knew the boys, while others didn't.

"It’s a real sense of community, to make sure that they know that we’re supporting them and standing with them in this time of crisis for them” said Heather Ingram, whose children attended school with one of the Cadenbach boys.

Family members of the Cadenbach's attended the vigil.  Funeral arrangements are pending.  A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with funeral costs.
