(KPLR) – Startling statistics about kids and guns have doctors, law enforcement agencies and non-profit organizations working together to help save the lives of children. Research shows between 2008 and 2013, 398 youngsters under the age of sixteen were treated for gunshot wounds at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
