(KPLR) - Our first Penn Station Athlete of the Month is Brandon Trusler from St. Louis University High School.  Brandon is a senior who excels in water polo and soccer and maintains a 4.13 GPA.  He says he likes both sports, but prefers soccer a little bit more and hopes to earn a scholarship to play soccer in college.

Brandon’s nomination said:  “Brandon is not just an outstanding athlete and leader; he has grown into a man of character on and off the field/pool.  He is a leader who takes on increasing tasks flawlessly and treats everyone with respect and it is reciprocal. He is willing to go the extra mile to help others and/or go beyond expectations in the classroom and on the field.  He continues to push himself to take on challenging workloads as well as tackle intense training to become a better player…and with all his achievements he is humbled, and in awe, with all the talent of others that surround him and make him a better man/athlete as well as the blessings he has”.

Brandon won a party for 10 at Penn Station and he is now eligible for a $5,000 scholarship at the end of the school year.
