ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Debate #2 for the presidential candidates is happening in our backyard. This is a $5 million dollar project for Washington University. Part of the cost is taking care of several thousand media members, including some 750 reporters, who will use the media center to watch the debate and file their stories.

"Spin alley and media center are ready to go. The crews will arrive fresh out of Virginia the VP debate. They will start working on the debate venue itself." said Steve Givens of the Washington University Debate Steering Committee.

There are some road closings planned around the main campus in Clayton. Big Bend from Forest Park Parkway south to Wydown will be shut down beginning Saturday from about 2 pm until 6 am Monday. Security will close Forsyth Boulevard Sunday at 9 am. That road remains closed to vehicles until 6 am Monday.
