ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- Visit the 250-acre Shaw Nature Reserve this Saturday, September 17th, to experience the life on the prairie. The weekend, the nature reserve will host an event that will highlight the history of prairie life.

Attendants of the event will have the opportunity to interact with historic reenactors while learning hunting and cooking skills essential to surviving on the prairie.

Historic Reenactor Greg Caldwell stopped by KPLR to show us just what we can expect from this historic event.

*Update- The Prairie Day event scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled because of the rain.*
