ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - Investigator Elliott Davis sat down with Lambert Airport Director

Rhonda Hamm-Niebruggee to talk about an airport name change proposal that Airport Commissioners will vote on Wednesday.

Members of an Airport Task Force which includes the airport director came up with this idea as one of the ways to turn around Lambert's fortunes.

The director says this is a way to build closer identification between Lambert and the rest of the city.

Right now the airport is called Lambert St Louis International Airport.

Under the proposed change it would become St. Louis International Airport at Lambert Field.

The Airport Director insists changing the name won't cost the airport any extra money.
