ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- Youngsters in the St. Louis YouthBuild Program are developing and honing their super powers. You see, the 17-to-24 year-olds are Superheroes. They attend classes to earn their high school diploma and learn a construction skill by day while getting paid in the process.

However, every Friday night they attend a mentoring session to become superheroes charged with doing what superheroes do, save lives.

The students don't stand in front of speeding trains or leap from tall buildings, but they learn life lessons, including how to avoid violence, listen and communicate and develop positive attitudes.

Contact YouthBuild St. Louis City, 1629 Biddle, St. Louis, MO 63106 to learn more about the program that is changing lives. The number to call is 314-705-4182.
