The district held a back to school festival for students last weekend.
As he has done in years past, Superintendent Kelvin Adams will be out this morning to greet students at three schools. The district worked through the summer to clean school buildings and improve safety and security.
Using funds from Proposition One, the district will have a full-time social worker or counselor in every public school this year. Also, every teacher received a new laptop computer and all pre-K students will receive mini iPads to use in class.
