Board of Aldermen President Lewis Reed announces run for St. Louis Mayor

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Board of Aldermen President Lewis Reed has announced he will run for Mayor of St. Louis.

Reed made the announcement Tuesday morning. He was elected Alderman of the city's 6th ward in 1999. Then in 2007 he was elected President of the Board of Aldermen, and again in 2011.

Reed will face city Alderman Lyda Krewson for the 2017 mayoral bid.
