Fatal shooting leaves one dead in Glasgow Village

GLASGOW VILLAGE, MO (KPLR) – St. Louis County Police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of one man, and injured another in Glasgow Village Sunday afternoon.

Police say they responded to a call for a shootings at 2:30 pm Sunday on Lancashire Street.  Upon arrival officer found 2 male victims, one was deceased.  The second victim was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

A witness told Fox 2 what happened.

"It’s all nonsense to me" said Tameka Dickerson who lives on the street in front of where the shooting happened.  "If everybody had some kind of conscious in their mind to live better or do what’s right it’ll be a better world, I’m at a loss for words" she said.

Police haven't released the identity of the victim, but Dickerson says she knows the young man who was killed.

"Just from a young guy in the neighborhood, he throws football with my sons in front of my house from time to time" Dickerson said.  "They walk up and down the street.  They’re normally not in trouble.  This had to been something went wrong.  It had to been something that turned from good to bad" she said.

No one has been taken into custody, but the investigation is ongoing.
