Shooting victims say teenage girl robbed beauty supply store

BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, MO (KPLR) – The Bellefontaine Policed Department is investigating the robbery of a beauty product shop that left 2 workers critically injured from with gunshot wounds.

Police say a 13-year-old teenage girl is wanted as a person of interest in the double shooting that happened just after 4 pm Tuesday. Staff members at King’s Beauty Supply on Lewis and Clark Boulevard told arriving officers that the 13-year-old suspect had been the store earlier in the day with another juvenile.

Officers had earlier in the day been summoned to the store for a report of shoplifting.  Two juvenile were located near the business, one was taken into custody and the other juvenile was released.

Police believe the juvenile that was release later came back and shot the 2 workers and fled with money and merchandise.

She was last seen leaving the area with a pistol.

Police consider the teen to be armed and dangerous.
