ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KPLR) – A 35-year-old St. Charles woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday for attempting to hire a hitman to murder her husband’s pregnant mistress.

Prosecutors said the incident took place in August 2015. The defendant, Sherrie Densing, met with an undercover officer at a local shopping center to discuss the matter. Densing and the undercover officer agreed on a payment for the job.

Densing provided the officer with photographs of the victim and her car, as well as keys to her home and vehicle.

Densing left the meeting and came back with $60 in cash to pay for a gun and multiple vials of morphine.

The entire meeting was recorded on video, according to investigators.

Densing pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.
