MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KPLR) - It is a busy east to west connector for the St. Louis area, but Monday night and Tuesday it will be slow going for area drivers.  MoDOT continues to work to add additional lanes to Page Avenue, just east of I-270.

Starting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 11, traffic on eastbound Page between Schuetz and Ball Drive will be reduced to one lane for overnight work.  Then at 6 a.m. Tuesday, crews will open both eastbound lanes for the morning rush hour.  From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, traffic will again be reduced to one lane.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect long delays and may want to consider alternate routes.

Workers will be removing barriers and also pouring concrete to construct an additional traffic lane. Road work along Page is expected to continue into this winter season.
