Independence Day celebrations being held across St. Louis area

(KPLR) - On this Independence Day weekend, Fair St. Louis is not the only celebration in town.

Webster Groves Community Days is a 4-day holiday weekend celebration featuring a carnival, bar-b-q, parade and fireworks that’s being held at Memorial Park.

While organizers of Riverfest in St. Charles say the town likes to show off its community pride.  Riverfest got underway Saturday at noon and closes tonight at 10:30 pm in Frontier Park.  Fireworks are scheduled for 9:20 pm Sunday and Monday.

O'Fallon, Missouri is celebrating Independence Day with the Heritage and Freedom Fest at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex.

The celebration features music a parade, carnival, kid zone, and fireworks.
