ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - The race is on to replace Jennifer Joyce in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office.

Four democrats running for the top prosecutor position debated Saturday at St. Louis University.

It`s a diverse field including two current city prosecutors, a state representative who used to work as a prosecutor, and the son of former St. Louis Mayor Clarence Harmon.

Each one of them explained why they should hold the position as St. Louis`s top crime fighter.

Jennifer Joyce has held the office since 2000.

She announced last July she would not run for re-election because she wanted to spend more time with her family.
