ST. PETERS, MO (KPLR) - A little rain this morning did not stop the 4th annual St. Peters Police Rangers Fishing Derby.

Fishermen and fisher-women turned out pole, bait, and tackle for a day of fishing.

The fishing derby went from 8:30 until noon.

The entry fee was five dollars per person, with that kids and adults could fish on the park's 140-acre lake.

Kids also got a t-shirt for entering the fishing derby.

More than $500 was available for prizes, awarded in two age divisions, 6-to-12 and 13-and-up.

You could win by catching the most fish or the largest fish.

A food truck was also set up at the lake for a little lunch.
