Carjacking victim pulls gun on robbers near Busch Stadium

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Police are investigating another car jacking, while putting more officers on the street in downtown St. Louis.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that a 27-year-old man was the victim of a carjacking the 900 block of Spruce at around 10:30pm Monday night. It is a popular part of downtown near Busch Stadium.

He turned the tables on the carjackers by pulling his own gun. He shot at one of the suspects 5 times and hit the man who was trying to get away in his truck, causing a crash.

Two other suspected accomplices a, 27-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, who were nearby also fired shots at the victim hitting, him in the leg. Police say gun crimes need stronger penalties.

The two suspected accomplices drove the shot robber to a local hospital who`s listed in stable condition. The alleged male accomplice was arrested at the hospital and the female is still at large. Police also found two guns on the scene, one belonged to the victim.

The robbery victim was treated and released from the hospital.
