Belleville police searching for bank robbery suspect

BELLEVILLE, MO (KPLR)- Belleville Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect that struck Friday afternoon.  A little after 1:00pm, Belleville Police were called to the Regions Bank on East Washington Street. The suspect had given a note to the teller implying he had a gun and demanding money. No weapon was displayed. The teller complied and the suspect fled southbound from the bank, then eastbound on Lincoln.

The suspect is described as a black male, over 20 years old, about 5'10", 150lbs, wearing a black shirt over a white t-shirt and black pants, a white "Guinness" hat, and carrying a blue drawstring type bag.
