CEDAR HILL, MO (KPLR) – The Major Case Squad is investigating a double shooting in Jefferson County.  One of the victim’s has died.  Investigators have not released the victim’s identity, but said he was a 56-year-old male.  The two shooting victims lived in the same area.  The shooting was in the 9900 block of Jones Creek Rd Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say the shooter arrived at a home and demanded his car back, but the homeowner had no idea what the man was talking about.

“According to the victim they had no idea who he was,” said Lt. Gary Higginbotham, Major Case Squad.   “They knew nothing about a car.”

Higginbotham says after an argument, the suspect fired several shots.  The deceased victim was shot in the stomach.  The homeowner was shot in the leg and survived.  Police have a vague suspect description of a white male with dark hair, wearing blues jeans and black hoodie.  They estimate his age in the mid to low 20’s.

Wayne Wyatt lives next door.  He didn’t hear the shots, but believes he saw the shooter walking along the street moments before the shooting.  He did not suspect anything was wrong.  Investigators say they believe the suspect left on foot.
