ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – Taking a trip on Amtrak? Now you can take your pup or kitten too, if you live in Missouri. Amtrak is expanding its pets program.

Starting now small cats and dogs can ride aboard Amtrak in the Show-Me State. You can reserve a space for your pet for a $25 fee. Pets must be in their carriers and are limited to 20lbs. So no big dogs.

More than 6,300 pets have traveled with passengers since Amtrak’s pet program launched in Illinois in 2014.
