St. Louis alderman proposes major revitalization project for north city

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - St. Louis Alderman Antonio French is using YouTube, a social media website to spread word about a major revitalization project proposed for north city. The plan calls for transforming three vacant buildings near 21st and Linton into spaces for children. The buildings are expected to be rehabbed by this summer. The short-term goal is to offer programs for kids by this summer. The long-range goal is to secure a charter school operator and a charter school sponsor. The expansion project is part of French's non-profit agency called North Campus. The organization purchased the three buildings from the City of St. Louis for $50,000.
