WILDWOOD, MO (KPLR) - Counselors will be on hand Monday for students at Babler Elementary School in Wildwood after one of their classmates died while trying to cross Highway 109 Saturday night.

Seven-year-old Rachael Bick and her father parked at the Elaine Rosi Academy and were walking along Highway 109 to a father-daughter dance at Babler Elementary. Bick was struck and killed by an SUV pulling out of the school parking lot.

Parents and educators have been sending their condolences to the family and students at Babler. Meanwhile, students are leaving items for a makeshift memorial.
