EUREKA, MO (KPLR) – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has issued arrest warrants for Eric Mckinney Jr. They say he shot a 16-year-old Wildwood girl in Eureka on April 6th during a drug deal. Police have taken him into custody.

Police say that the teen agreed to meet Mckinney to sell marijuana at the Hilltop Village Center parking lot. There was an argument after Mckinney said he didn't have enough money to make a purchase. He then hit her with a gun in the face and shot her one time.

The victim then stabbed the shooter with a knife. He fled the scene and she called 911. Police say Mckinney was later apprehended as the suspect.

Police say the girl suffered serious injuries and is still hospitalized. The shooting victim is also expected to face charges.
