Suspects arrested in string of vehicle thefts

KIRKWOOD, MO (KPLR) - Kirkwood police have arrested 2 suspects they say were stealing items from parked cars.

Kirkwood detectives say all of the vehicles that were target by the thieves were unlocked.

One suspect has been identified 21-year-old Tyler Jackson of Kirkwood.  He’s charged with stealing a vehicle and burglary. The second suspect`s name has not been released pending charges being filed.

The thefts occurred over the past 3 weeks in Kirkwood from multiple vehicles.  Police say the thefts occurred on residential streets.  The vehicles were parked on the street, in drive ways and in garages. The two men were not working together but confessed to police about the crimes for different motives.

Kirkwood police say the suspects may be wanted for thefts from vehicles in nearby municipalities.
