ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - A former NBC News Middle East Correspondent and Tel Aviv Bureau Chief has released a new book about his experiences.

Martin Fletcher's new novel, "The War Reporter" is a fictional story about a war correspondent suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after covering the conflict in Sarajevo.

Fletcher joined the Fox 2 team this morning ahead of his book signing tonight at Grbic Bosnian Restaurant in south St. Louis. Portions of the proceeds from the event will go toFOCUS Marines, a charity dedicated to helping returning veterans suffering from PTSD and other injuries.

The novel is based off Fletcher's own experiences covering armed conflict in the Middle East and is not only a thriller, but also a love novel.
