ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR)- The father of a 21-month old Jennings boy who accidentally shot and killed himself in August is going to prison for five years Corey Epps pleaded guilty Friday to charges of endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with physical evidence.

Epps son, Carter Epps, found a loaded gun at his grandmother’s home and shot himself.  Authorities say the older Epps left the gun where his son often played and then, after the shooting, removed the gun and shell casings from the home.
