Missouri bill would ban abortion for Down syndrome

(KPLR) – A Missouri state senator proposed a bill that would make it illegal to perform an abortion based on the fact a child had Down syndrome.

If the bill is passed Missouri would only be the second state to have a law like this.

But people in the Down syndrome community are quick to point out that those with the mental disability can lead full lives.
