TOWN AND COUNTRY, MO (KPLR) - Traffic was slow as Tuesday’s snow moved into the St. Louis metro area, but MoDOT says the roads were basically in pretty good shape.

As FOX2 crews traveled along I-270 south it was clear that both sides were moving very slowly. There were also a few trouble spots along the page extension and interstate 70. MoDOT engineers say they do have a game plan to keep full crews out for the next 24 hours clearing and treating the roads for the morning and evening commute. When it came to those trying to get around town, it was a rough day. Bus routes were delayed by hours causing some to wait in the cold.

At this point MoDOT is urging drivers to prepare for the morning rush by leaving early and checking their website for updates.
