EUREKA, MO (KPLR)- A landmark Eureka restaurant heavily damaged in the floods is getting creative to re-open today albeit in a reduced capacity.

While repairs are ongoing inside the popular Joe Boccardi`s Restaurant, workers have set up a temporary restaurant in the back parking lot. There is a massive tent along with a trailer holding a huge oven!

Joe Bocccardi`s was among the many businesses and homes that were flooded by waters from the Meramec River. Boccardi`s had about four feet of water inside of it.
That has led to an extensive clean up and remodeling operation inside the restaurant. Boccardi`s is a Eureka fixture--next Friday will be the restaurant`s 45th anniversary in the town.

The Boccardi family decided to open the temporary facility outside primarily to keep their employees working but also to help generate some revenue. The tent site is going to be open from 11am until 8pm every day. However, on this first day today they won`t be opening until 4pm because some set-up details are still being worked out.

There are a few tables in the tent but this will primarily be carry out.

The menu will be limited for now to basically pizza and appetizers.

You can come down and order or you can call in orders by calling the restaurant`s main number.
That number is 636-938-6100.

The Boccardi`s hope to reopen the main restaurant in mid-February.
