JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KPLR) – Jefferson County is offering fresh drinking water for residents of High Ridge and others in the county on Sunday afternoon while the area copes with a boil order in the wake of recent flooding.

Bottled water and cleanup kits can be picked up Sunday, January 3 at Fellowship Baptist Church on High Ridge Boulevard between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, Public Water District #2 has said the boil order will remain in effect for some time even after water is fully restored in order to flush out the system. The district has boil order instructions and resources available on its website.

The Jefferson County Health Department is promising free water testing and will give tetanus shots for any county residents affected by flooding. Contact either the Hillsboro location at 636-797-3737 or Arnold location at 636-282-1010 to schedule an appointment.
