Both directions of I-44 and I-55 in St. Louis reopen after flooding

VALLEY PARK, MO (KTVI) - The rivers have crested but the danger continues as the water slowly recedes. All lanes of I-55 are now open. MoDOT all lanes of I-44 are also open. All interstates in Missouri are now clear for traffic.

The MoDOT representative says it could still be a few days before the water clears from 141 and crews can start the cleanup process there.In the St. Louis area, Route 21 and Route 30 remain closed at the Meramec River and Route 141 is still closed at I-44 and at Route 21.

MoDOT says it will take crews awhile to clean everything up from all the flooding.  More than 100 state roads still remain under water throughout the state. Call MoDOT’s toll free number, 1-888-ASK-MODOT, to get updated information on road conditions.
