ARNOLD, MO (KTVI) – Rising water isn't the only problem in Arnold; residents want to know when their power will be restored.

The mess some are facing from the floodwaters are major and overwhelming in some cases, but there is this other problem that many people living in this neighborhood are talking about. They’re upset power was cut to the entire block and not on a meter-by-meter basis.

Some homes without power never flooded, while others relying on sump pumps to push out water ended up flooding because of the outage.

Ameren Missouri said they shut the power down was the safest and quickest way to protect residents. Some customers feel this could have been handled better.
