Man wearing chimp mask robs O’Fallon gas station

O’FALLON, MO (KPLR) - A man wearing a chimpanzee mask robbed an O'Fallon, MO gas station Sunday night.

Police say that the suspect entered the Midwest Petroleum gas station on Bryan Road at around 6:30pm. He ordered the clerk to empty both cash registers while pointing his semi-automatic handgun. The suspect left on foot with an undetermined amount of money.

The man in the mask was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, dark shoes and dark gloves with two stripes on them. He stood about six feet tall. Witnesses were unable to determine his race. They say he had a slim build.

The suspect was carrying a drawstring bag with STL on it, possibility a St. Louis Cardinal bag.
