One dead, four injured in crash near Leadington, MO

LEADINGTON, MO (KPLR)-One person is dead and four people are injured after a two-vehicle crash Friday in St. Francois County near Leadington.  Around 3:45pm, a Mazda SUV and a Ford truck were traveling south on U.S. 67, just north of the MO-32 interchange, when the truck struck the SUV from behind. The SUV went off the right side of the road and overturned.  The truck also went off the right side of the road. It struck a tree.

Jeanette Bunn, 42, a passenger in the truck, was killed. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Mitchell Knight, 45, the driver, survived the crash. He is listed in serious condition.

The driver and two passengers in the SUV were also injured. No one in the SUV was wearing a seatbelt.
