Armed suspect robs Citizens National Bank branch

FLORISSANT, MO (KPLR) – Investigators with the Florissant Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who robbed a local Citizens National Bank branch at gunpoint on Friday afternoon.

According to Officer Craig DeHart, a police spokesman, the robbery took place at 1 p.m. in the 400 block of St. Ferdinand Street. The suspect walked into the bank, approached a teller, pulled out a handgun, and demanded money. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank, got into a dark-colored SUV with a temporary Missouri license plate, and drive away.

Police described the suspect as an African-American man in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a dark baseball cap. The man also sported some facial hair.
