BELLEVILLE, IL (KPLR)-Some good news for a Belleville man whose specially-equipped van was stolen. Tom Biekert's wheelchair accessible van has been found after it was taken Thursday morning.   Family members tell FOX 2 it was found Saturday in East St. Louis, IL.

The van's steering column had been stripped and there is a hole in the gas tank. Biekert is not sure about repair costs, but hopes to get his van back Monday.

Biekert, 54, has a spinal condition and he’s used a wheelchair to get around for the last decade. The white, 1990 Astro van was stolen from his driveway early Thursday. Belleville police say other cars in the Biekerts’ neighborhood were broken into at the same time, but only the van was stolen.
