Police identify suspect in south county ‘grab and go’ spree

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR) - Police have identified a suspect in a series of south county robberies. Jordan Holmes, 19, is wanted for at least four four grab-and-runs. Detectives have been unable to locate him. They received tips from CrimeStoppers about his identification.

Last month police say suspects ran out of several stores with $8,285 of merchandise in and around the South County Mall. They knocked an 87-year-old nun over during one of their escapes.

A man and a woman are accused of stealing $2,315 worth of Nike Dryfit clothing by grabbing the merchandise and running out of the store. Police say the two stole the items from Hibbitt Sporting Goods Store in South County Mall on October 15th.

Police say the same black male and female suspects stole $2,970 of North Face jackets from a nearby Dick's Sporting Goods on October 21st. They were accompanied by an unknown female suspect. One of the women left the store shortly after coming in to go to her car. Surveillance video shows the thieves running out of the store with the merchandise. They knocked over an 87-year-old on the way out of the store.

The same suspects are also accused of committing another "grab and run" the Pink store in South County Mall on October 23rd. They stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise.

Police say the suspects drove a white Chrysler 200 with no license plates during the Hibbitt Sports thefts. They drove a dark green or black passenger vehicle with tinted windows and no license plates during the Dick’s Sporting Goods and Pink thefts.
